Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Sawvant API and website at sawvant.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Sawvant is operated by Silverfern Consultancy, based in Belgium.

2. Service Description

Sawvant provides a cutting optimization API that calculates optimal cutting patterns for linear and two-dimensional materials. The service is available through a REST API and accessed using API keys.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and API keys secure. Do not share your API keys with unauthorized parties.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if we detect abuse of the service.

4. API Usage

Each plan includes rate limits. Exceeding your rate limit will result in throttled requests. You may not use the API to perform denial-of-service attacks, reverse-engineer the optimization algorithms, or resell API access without written permission.

We reserve the right to modify rate limits, endpoints, or response formats. Breaking changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.

5. Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Prices are listed on the pricing page. All amounts are in USD and exclude applicable taxes.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial months.

6. Intellectual Property

The Sawvant API, algorithms, documentation, and website are the intellectual property of Silverfern Consultancy. Your use of the service does not grant you ownership of any part of the platform.

You retain ownership of the data you submit through the API. We do not claim rights over your input data or optimization results.

7. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Silverfern Consultancy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. We may terminate your access immediately if you violate these terms. On termination, your API keys are revoked and your account data is deleted within 30 days unless retention is required by law.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the website at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Belgium.
